Previous sailing experience is not necessary to enjoy a memorable day with Edinburgh Boat Charters in a scenic and historic setting.

"Inspired Capital", our contemporary, quality yacht provides a luxurious space in which to relax, and enjoy the company of family and friends and is owned and skippered by a passionate, experienced sailor, local to the area, who is dedicated to providing you with a fantastic day out.

If you want to be "hands-on", with the skipper's expert tuition you can take the helm and learn the "ropes", providing you with a sense of personal achievement.

At the start of this experience meet your RYA Yachtmaster who will show you the ropes onboard this modern 40 foot sailing yacht over a cup of coffee before departing the marina.

As you set sail you will immediately pass under the awe inspiring Forth Rail Bridge. Built in the 1890s this victorian marvel of engineering is considered one of the engineering wonders of the world. You'll set sail and let the wind take you as each guest takes it in turn to take the wheel and sail the yacht, under the safe supervision of the crew.

During this sailing experience you'll explore the fife coastline, Inchcolm priory and see a different view of Edinburgh's unique skyline.

Half or full day hire is available and we can take groups of up to 8 people. We are very happy to accommodate individuals or couples willing to sail with others.

With impressive facilities on board from stylish saloon to internet access, this is certainly the way to explore the Forth. Every aspect has been considered, including the provision of waterproof clothing, to ensure your sailing experience is thoroughly enjoyed.
