The Edinburgh Playhouse - Scotland's Broadway
The Edinburgh Playhouse is the largest theatre in the whole of the UK, and hosts the top touring musicals from Broadway and the West End. We also enjoy huge events, like Edinburgh's biggest comedy show, The Comedy Gala, and a host of concerts and 'one night only' extravaganzas. 2014 saw The Playhouse stage The Lion King, Evita, West Side Story, and still to come, the Scottish Premiere of Jersey Boys and the global phenomenon Wicked. Jersey Boys - Wednesday 8 to Saturday 25 October 7.30pm
The internationally acclaimed stage sensation, Jersey Boys is coming to Edinburgh Playhouse for the very first time. This smash hit musical has won 55 major awards worldwide, including the Olivier Award for Best New Musical. The musical tells the true life story of four boys from the wrong side of the tracks who wrote their own songs, invented their own unique sound, and sold 175 million records worldwide.
Barnum - Tuesday 28 October to Saturday 1 November 7.30pm
This exhilarating musical follows the irrepressible imagination and dreams of Phineas T Barnum, America’s Greatest Showman. We follow the legendary showman’s life as he lit up the world with colour, warmth and the excitement of his imagination and finally teamed up with J A Bailey to create Barnum and Bailey’s Circus.
Riverdance - Tuesday 4 to Sunday 9 November 7.30pm
This 20th Anniversary UK Tour, gives Riverdance fans old and new, the opportunity to celebrate an incredible milestone for an incredible show. Twenty years after it took its first steps, a truly phenomenal piece of theatrical entertainment is back by popular demand. Don’t miss this anniversary tour!

Boasting a string of hits from 1964 to 1968 including the No.1s Keep On Running and Somebody Help Me as well as Top the Top 10 hits Gimme Some Loving and I’m A Man.
Lee Mack - Tuesday 11 & Wednesday 12 November 8pm
The multi-award winning star of Not Going Out and Would I Lie To You?, Lee Mack, is going back on the road with his first live tour in over 4 years. Expect his trademark brand of high energy banter, well-crafted gags and sharp one-liners in one of the most hotly anticipated shows of the year.
Halfway to Paradise - 13 November 7.30pm
A shy young boy from Liverpool is re-christened Billy Fury and becomes one of Britain's best loved rock stars. Now in its 16th year and still furiously rockin', his own band, Fury's Tornados, re-live his timeless hits - Last Night Was Made For Love, I Will, Jealousy, Halfway to Paradise and many, many more.
The Dreamboys - Friday 14 November 7.30pm
The Dreamboys are back with a brand new Show and Tour for 2014 and have brought a special celebrity guest along with them. The UK's biggest heartthrob Dan Osborne star of the hit reality TV Show The Only Way Is Essex who will be performing LIVE with The Dreamboys in their hottest show ever!
Step out onto the stage of the Edinburgh Playhouse, go behind the scenes into the secret world of backstage, smell the greasepaint, hear about our resident ghost and learn all about our beautiful theatre! A truly unique Edinburgh experience. A fantastic opportunity to step on stage, go up to the fly floor for a bird’s eye view of the stage and much, much more! Tours are available on selected Saturdays and midweek matinee mornings for a number of upcoming shows at The Edinburgh Playhouse. Tours begin at 10.30am and last approximately 90 minutes.
