Overview
Ellisland Farm provides a wonderful insight into the life of Robert Burns and it was here, inspired by the tranquil setting, that many of Burns' finest songs and poems, including Tam o 'Shanter and the world-famous Auld Lang Syne were penned. With guided tours always available, you'll be able to witness some of the bards' original writings and possessions during an engaging tour of the house and stables.Burns was often inspired by the countryside around the farm and today there are stunning walks and nature trails for you to enjoy, which offer panoramic views of the region along to Friar's Carse where you can enjoy a wee dram of some of Scotland's finest malt whisky.
