4x4 DRIVING: You do all the driving! Our 4x4 Experiences are suitable for all those with a driving licence and passengers from aged 2 months! We give guidance at the more challenging obstacles and this is unlike any 4x4 experience you have ever been on, it is not a driving lesson! You will enjoy learning new skills and appreciate just how capable these vehicles are over the challenging terrain.  Expect the unexpected and come away with a smile as you plough your way through water, manoeuvre the vehicle around tight bends, drive over Scotland's highest See-Saw and negotiate your way down and up steep slopes and more. Plenty of fun for the kid’s too as they watch out for things on our Highland Themed Adventure Course. Experience Nessie's Back, The Wallace Pass, The Great Glen and the 3 Witches to name a few. From aged 6 weeks...bring a car seat!

Priced at £99 or £79 midweek per vehicle for up to 2 drivers, this experience takes approximately 1 hour plus a 15 minute briefing and offers great value for money. You will have no strangers in your car, not even us.

Luxury Accommodation is available within a 15 minute walk at thehousebytheloch.co.uk and it sleeps up to 19 persons. Well behaved Stags/Hens and Corporate Groups most welcome! We also work with TazBallPaintBall to offer you a whole weekend experience plus Zorbing, WoW balls and more. Cocktail Masterclasses, Whisky/Gin/Wine tasting and Pampering available too. Other activities are available with our partner outdoor activity companies. Just ask us for details or see the website!

    Road Directions

Where to find us:   10 miles south of Inverness at Loch Duntelchaig. (5 miles east of Loch Ness). We have brown tourist signage to follow if in doubt.   The Bing map shows the general location but the locator is not in the correct place because it works off a general postcode. Try typing Experience4x4 straight into your SatNav. If you type the postcode into it it will take you 1 mile away along the main road. Stay on the main road and ignore the lady's voice who wants you to turn off it. Look up and see the yellow sign saying to drive 1 mile further along! For more thorough directions see below:   We advise checking your tripmeter to know the distances!   The best route is to take the Essich Road, off the ‘Essich’ Roundabout on the Inverness Southern Distributor Road. Signposted ‘Torbreck’. **!Please read road closure info in the box across for the next 6 weeks. After 5 miles turn left at the crossroads, signposted 'Loch Duntelchaig', then drive exactly 1.8 miles. We are on the left. Look out for our yellow sign on your left, a yellow 4x4 on the bank and a yellow gate.   Another route is via the B862 Dores Road. Approximately 350 yards after the AntHill B&B sign, look out for a hidden junction s.p. 'Experience4x4', approx 1.5 miles north of Dores Village, and come up the twisty hill. Go straight over the crossroads s.p. Loch Duntelchaig and 'Experience4x4' and drive for 1.8miles. We are on your left.   You can come via the A9 via Inverarnie on the B851 s.p. Fort Augustus for 3 miles, turn right at the Inverarnie Stores, turn left after half a mile s.p. Dunlichity and 'Experience4x4'. Drive along this road for 5 miles (through Dunlichity) and we are on your right as you start to leave the shoreline of Loch Duntelchaig. This road has many twists and turns and is therefore slower.
