Galloway Wildlife Conservation Park, Lochfergus Plantation, Kirkcudbright, Dumfries & Galloway, DG6 4XX

Galloway Wildlife Conservation Park has a fantastic collection of native and exotic animals amongst 27 acres of mixed woodland.

See 150 animals from all over the world in a peaceful and natural setting with the wood tailored to provide large, imaginative enclosures. Look out for the Asian small clawed otters, meerkats and Scottish wildcats.

Children and adults alike will love the close animal encounters and handling sessions. Learn more about the park's snakes and enjoy the nature trails and children's play area.

Wildlife conservation is one of the main aims of the park which participates in many international captive breeding programmes. It also works closely with other zoos, wildlife parks and conservation bodies to try and ensure the long-term survival of the world's rarest and endangered animals.

There’s free coach and car parking, a welcoming cafe serving a good range of drinks and snacks, picnic areas and a gift shop.
