Overview
Brooding over the woods at the downstream end is the ruin of Gight Castle, once the family home of Lord Byron.Species - Roe deer, fox, badger, red squirrel and otter. Notable plants include wood millet, three-nerved sandwort, climbing corydalis, smooth and remote sedges and the hairy brome.
Location - A remote location, about three miles east of Fyvie off the B9005, just outside the village of Methlick
