Try fishing and shooting at the Gleneagles Shooting And Fishing School, based at the Gleneagles Hotel in Perthshire.

The Gleneagles Shooting School has a world-class reputation for providing an unrivalled sporting layout and the most expert instruction in sporting clay target shooting, at all skill levels.

If you would like more practice on simulated teal, high pheasant or running hare or simply enjoy the exhilaration of clay pigeon target shooting ranges, the Shooting School offers the very best in terms of sporting clays facilities and equipment.

Using the most advanced pre-charged air rifles available on the dedicated 55 m outdoor 12-lane rifle range, the shooting instructors will teach, hone and develop the skills of precision shooting. You can also try target archery on the purpose built 10-lane archery range. Archery is undoubtedly one of man’s most ancient target sports and is once more undergoing a revival of interest throughout the world.

Gleneagles' trout loch is the finest fishing for the expert seeking to extend his range or for a wonderful introduction to the sport. Gleneagles' skilled ghillies will share their unrivalled knowledge with novice and experienced anglers who can enjoy their sport on three inland lochs on the Gleneagles estate stocked with brown and rainbow trout.

To carefully control the conditions for trout fishing, the number of rods on the lochs are strictly limited, ensuring maximum enjoyment for guests. Rods and tackle are included in booking fees. The expert services of a dedicated ghillie are provided for anglers fishing for trout on the River Tay and for those fishing trout on the lochs.
