GTM is a living museum of land travael and transport. A visit includes climb aboard vehicle exhibits, extensive use of video and some great temporary exhibitions. Special exhibitions for 2012 include; 'Rails to Alford', a comprehensive history of the Alford Valley Railway, 'The Coaching Era', with a rare chance to view a stage and mail coach side by side, 'Motor Spirit', the parallel development of the car and oil industry, 'Cycling to the Bicentenary', a chronology of the cycle and a look at the future of motoring in our 'Cars for the Future' exhibition.
