Harbourmaster's House

The Harbourmaster's House is home to Fife’s first coastal centre, which offers information on things to see and do on the Fife Coastal Path.

The centre is based in a B-listed 18th century building, which sits next to Dysart harbour. You can find out more on the Fife Coastal Path, a long distance route around the coast passing many attractions, activities and wildlife.

This high quality centre encourages its visitors to explore historic castles and caves, medieval churches and picturesque fishing harbours. Learn about the variety of wildlife, the outstanding geology and the unique fossils found along the coast.

The Harbourmaster’s House also has interactive displays on the history of the region and on the North Sea and trading.

The house is run by Fife Coast and Countryside Trust, a registered environmental charity which is responsible for the development and promotion of Fife's countryside as well as the Fife Ranger Service. The Trust's headquarters are located on the first floor of the building.

There is also a bistro and souvenir shop.
