    Now 191 years old, the Frigate Unicorn is one of the world's most remarkable historic ships and Scotland's only example of a wooden warship.

    Built for the Royal Navy and launched in 1824, the Frigate Unicorn is now preserved as a historic ship and visitor attraction in Dundee.

    The Frigate Unicorn is one of the six oldest ships in the world and boasts four atmospheric deck s for you to explore. Step back in time and learn about life at sea, the Navy in Dundee, and ‘the Golden Age of Sail’.

    Getting there by railway:- From Dundee Railway Station cross the pedestrian footbridge to the bottom of Union Street, then walk East along Shore Terrace and cross South Marketgait at the footbridge located in Gellatly Street, Unicorn will be clearly visible there after.

    Getting there by airplane:- From Glasgow, Edinburgh or Aberdeen Airports follow the road signs for Dundee.  Once in Dundee pick up the tourist signs for the Frigate Unicorn.
