Kilbirnie Place is a beautiful par 69 parkland course. It compensates for its lack of length, 5524-yards, with some very tricky greens and natural hazards, including the Jocks Burn that winds its way through the opening and finishing holes.
After a fairly hard first three holes with carries in excess of 150-yards to reach fairways you come upon the fourth hole, a narrow fairway with out of bounds on both sides with the ruins of Place castle overlooking the green. The last hole is a 145-yard par three with a burn before the green and out of bounds if you are too long off the tee.
Inland, 18 holes, 5,524 yards, SSS 67, Par 69
