Kirkcaldy Galleries

War Memorial Gardens, Kirkcaldy, Fife, KY1 1YG

Permanent Collections Kirkcaldy Galleries has a stunning collection of work by a number of well-known artists, ranging from the Scottish Colourists to Jack Vettriano.

After a major project to bring Library, Museum, Art Gallery and Visitor Centre together, our refurbished building reopens in early summer.
We've created brand new museum displays and with such rich collections and so many fascinating stories to tell, choosing what should go in has been a challenge. The end result is not a single story or even a series of themes. Instead, we've chosen 24 different ‘moments in time’ which mean something to the area. They cover all periods of history and different aspects of life and each is linked to a “star” object in the collection.
From the creation of the Fife coal bed to the refurb of the High Street, from the first Links Market to the Beatles performing at the Carlton. With activities, objects, photos, film, sound and even smells – we hope there’s something for everyone!
Watch out for our opening date in the press and on the web.
