"Enjoy stunning countryside views from Kirriemuir Camera Obscura, gifted to the town by the famous author and playwright JM Barrie in 1930. "
Kirriemuir Camera Obscura was gifted to the town by the creator of Peter Pan along with the cricket pavilion soon after JM Barrie was given the freedom of Kirriemuir.
One of only three in the country, Kirriemuir Camera Obscura boasts gorgeous views of the town, the surrounding countryside and glens. Friendly guides will explain how the equipment works, which is best used on bright sunny days.
At times, it will be unable to operate due to weather conditions, which may result in closure for the whole day.
