    Learn about the history of Harris Tweed at the Lewis Loom Centre in Stornoway, on the Isle of Lewis.

    The Lewis Loom Centre offers a guided tour and lecture on the making of Harris Tweed. Enjoy demonstrations of spinning wheels, warding, dyeing, the hand loom and weaving the tweed. There is also a craft gift shop.

    Getting there by aeroplane:- From Stornoway Airport, drive to town centre to Cromwell Street, (shopping area with Tourist Information Centre). Continue along street to Bayhead and the Lewis Loom Centre is on the right hand side of the street, beside Jenors Jewellery shop. Sheep signs are displayed at entrance. The centre is in the centre of town.

    Getting there by ferry:- From Stornoway Ferry Terminal, go through town centre to Cromwell Street shopping area. Continue through Cromwell Street to Bayhead Street and the Lewis Loom Centre is on the right hand side of the street, beside Jenors Jewellery shop. Sheep signs are displayed at entrance. The centre is in the centre of town.
