Overview
Many of these can be purchased at first hand in the homes of the producers themselves and in the local shops. Lochaber, in Scotland's West Highlands, is renowned for its scenic beauty. There is peace and tranquillity in its lonely glens and on its secluded shores. The more active may sail, climb on some of Europe's most challenging rock faces, or walk on remote paths where history was made by Bonnie Prince Charlie, the Lords of the Isles, Vikings and other settlers.Lochaber offers much too in the variety and quality of its craft and food products. A tour of the area combines the enjoyment of its grandeur with opportunities to watch producers at work and to examine some of the processes involved.
