    Hillwalking & Hiking

    A professional guiding service, running since 1994, for those wanting to get off the beaten track - whether to climb the highest peak or wander along deserted beaches and down misty valleys. Learn about the plants, animals and geological features you see along the way as well as picking up hints on navigation and map-reading.
     
    Yoga
    Have a private lesson from a British Wheel of Yoga qualified teacher - stretch and relax in the studio, on the beach, in your accommodation or on a mountain top! Customise sessions for all standards from beginners to advanced. Studio capacity 7 people.
     
    Pilates
    This increasingly popular exercise method combines controlled, precise movements with breathing techniques to increase core strength and stability. Classes and private lessons are offered by a qualified instructor at two levels to suit beginners and the more adept. Studio capacity 7 people.
     
    Tennis
    Play tennis on the most remote court in Britain. A top-class artificial grass surface and a cosy pavilion for shelter in case it rains. Racquets and balls for hire. Coaching available to top club standard by qualified LTA coach. Class drop-in available.
     
    Personal Training
    Have a one-to-one training experience to target your individual needs. Get guidance on technique, training programmes, nutrition, weight loss and general lifestyle - start to get fitter and healthier and increase your sense of wellbeing.
     
    Swiss Ball
    Strengthen your back, increase core stability and improve your figure under the guidance of a qualified Swiss Ball trainer. Catering for all standards, from gentle mobility work to energetic workouts for athletes. Studio capacity 5 people or up to 12 outdoors, weather permitting.

    I prefer not to lead walks on Sundays, otherwise any day of the year is fine if I am available.

    Difficulty

    • Family routes All routes are tailored to the needs and interests of the participants, paying particular attention to physical abilities and fitness. Children as young as five have been out on my walks and managed not to get bored.

    • Wildlife Walks Depending on the route chosen, there is the possibility of seeing red deer, otters, golden and white-tailed eagles, peregrines and ravens. There are also many interesting plants and insects.

    Walk Type

    • Hill & Mountain walks Routes on Harris can take you to some craggy and vertiginous spots, so you need to be sure you have a head for heights if you want to go high. As always, I tailor the route to meet your requirements.
    • Moderate Walks Sometimes walkers want to follow a gentle route and take a closer interest in flora and geology, for instance. That's fine, and I will plan a route accordingly.
