Welcome to Moat Park Heritage Centre
This museum tells the story of Clydesdale's geological past and its peoples from the Stone Age to the 20th century. Splendid models portray early dwellings, mottes, castles and bastle houses. Treasures of Moat Park include a patchwork quilt made by a 19th century Biggar tailor, Menzies Moffat, a 13th century bishop's ring, and the Boghall gun, possibly the oldest gun in Scotland. Children can enjoy the activities on offer in their own dedicated area - including dressing up as people from the past.
