Overview

Riding from Lead Rein Ponies to week long holidays.
Please ask and we will try and tailor a package to match your wishes. Our trail riding programmes for beginners and novices alike offer a 90 minute experience, competitively priced at £38.00 per person, or £140.00 for a family of 4.

Your programme is made up of the following:

Upon arrival you will be introduced to your horse and pony in a stable environment, after which you will be issued with the appropriate safety equipment in preparation for your riding.

You will enter our school as a group and you will mount individually, at all times you will be supervised.

Your group will then have a learning induction whereby you become acquainted with your horse or pony, instruction will be given to all on the basics, we aim to get you feeling very comfortable and confident before your ride departs. Once your induction has been completed you will depart on your trail ride, on average and allowing for a suitable induction your trail ride should last for a minimum of 1 hour.

For our younger and smaller guests we offer the opportunity to enjoy escorted lead rein pony rides, this is a superb activity that provides enjoyment for both rider and pony alike.

Pony rides can last from 10 to 30 minutes and start from £5.00. We also offer riding lessons to our junior clients in the riding school.

All these junior rides are taken on flat ground within close proximity of our school. We also run a Childrens Pony Club at weekends.

We will offer carriage driving lessons this year where you can drive a horse and carriage in the school or have a drive out with friends in one of our carriages in the surrounding countryside and around the farm.

If your idea of luxury is spending time with horses then a working holiday could be just the ideal escape for you.

Our working holidays are designed to give you the opportunity to become part of our team for a week. This is a rare and truly fantastic opportunity for you to experience the hands on running of a riding school and stable life in general, and to see some of the behind the scenes work that the general public and day to day clients don't see.

No week is ever the same, the winter months are where the coming season is planned, with horses and ponies being developed for work, new trails are explored and established, and fitness programmes are worked on.

During the summer months the workload changes completely, regular clients and visiting riders return to enjoy their hobby, long days and short nights mean our school can operate for 14 hours a day, 5 days a week, in short, winter or summer, there is always plenty to keep you occupied.
