Overview

NorWest Sea Kayaking is based in the far North West Highlands. We offer a selection of 4/5* lodge based tours, skills courses and camping expeditions. We also offer ½ day, day and multi-day trips.

No previous experience is necessary and all ages and abilities are welcome.

NorWest Sea Kayaking is based in the beautiful fishing village of Lochinver and offer trips in the Ullapool, Achiltibuie-Summer Isles, and Lochinver areas. Have the wilderness at your fingertips, each day discovering a new and magical place.

NorWest Sea Kayaking offers a selection of holidays, courses and trips, no experience is necessary and all ages and abilities are welcome.

4/5* Lodge based tours-
A holiday with adventure and relaxation rolled into one. All inclusive, relax in a 4/5* self-catering property, unwind to home cooked local produce- breakfast, lunch and a 2 course evening meal, wine included. Paddle somewhere different and magical each day.

Magic of Assynt-
This area is famous for its geology and you will be paddling amidst Scotland's first Geo Park.
All around you the dramatic sandstone peaks of Suliven, Canisp, Quinag, Cul Mor, Cul Beag and Stac Pollaidh stand in splendid isolation over the cnoc and lochan landscape.

You will paddle to secret islands of inquisitive seals, to caves, coves and magical beaches. This trip will open up many of the magical places Assynt has to offer and leave you wishing for more.

Tranquil Summer Isles-
The Summer Isles are made up of 30 plus Islands and stacks, wild and rugged; all but one of these islands is uninhabited. We will weave our way amongst the islands and skerries to colonies of seals and sea birds. Along the way we will pass waters frequented by basking sharks, whales and dolphins. You will enjoy secluded beaches, sandstone arches and the mighty Cathedral Cave. The 'Summer Isles' is a magical place that will stay with you forever.

Summer Isles-3 day Introduction/3 day Intermediate courses

Paddle each day from your doorstep discovering the magic of the 'Summer Isles'. Based on 'Tanera Mor' the only inhabited island of the beautiful 'Summer Isles', this is one of the most spectacular places to paddle in the world. You will be whisked away to your island home by fishing boat and spend your time discovering this magical archipelago while learning and improving your sea kayaking skills. These courses are all inclusive of accommodation, home cooked meals, tuition and equipment.

Camping expeditions-

Glacial Lochs & Isolated sandstone peaks-
A famous canoe journey into one of the most pristine wilderness areas in Scotland-not to be missed. If you are after a true wilderness experience where you will be amongst nature at its best then this is the trip for you.
We will travel into the inner wilderness of Assynt by kayak and ascend one of Scotland's most iconic peaks-Suilven before finding our self's round a campfire on a tiny island surrounded by isolated sandstone peaks, wildlife and true solitude. A love for the outdoors and a want to escape into this beautiful wilderness is the only experience necessary for this trip.

The Wilderness of the Summer Isles-
Each day we will inhabit a new found island and watch the light dim as we sit around a driftwood fire and look in wonder at the views of the Coigach mountains and the distant allure of the Torridon and Skye hills, never forgetting the misty outline of the Isles of Lewis and Harris.

There is so much to explore on the isles and the surrounding coastline, its intriguing sandstone architecture will entrance you each day.
