The course is situated in the picturesque setting of Palacerigg Country Park which is set in a mature woodland area. The course is only minutes drive from the large towns of Cumbernauld, Airdrie and Coatbridge.
As well as the golf course, the public park offers such attractions as Scottish and European wildlife, craft centre nature trails, millennium longhouses, visitors centre and children's play area. The signature hole would be the seventh, aptly named 'Lang Whang', a par five of 540-yards. The tee shot must be perfect as a burn comes into play just about the landing area of the average drive. Also, miss the fairway and you could end up in the duck pond on the left or a copse of trees on the right.
