Priorwood Garden and Dried Flower Shop in Melrose is Scotland’s only dedicated dried flower garden and is overlooked by the impressive ruins of Melrose Abbey.
Set within a walled garden and covering two acres, Priorwood Garden and Dried Flower Shop features a specialist garden where the plants grown are selected for their suitability for drying. The site is maintained by the National Trust for Scotland.
The colourful and imaginative selection of flowers ensures variety for the dried flower arrangements made on the premises. Visitors can learn about the garden’s history and choose blooms to order from a dedicated drying room.
The garden also has an apple orchard with organically grown historic varieties and visitors can enjoy the different blossoms during the spring.
A gift shop sells a range of dried flowers, plants and seasonal organic vegetables. These vegetables are grown at Priorwood’s sister garden, Harmony Garden, also in Melrose.
