    Scotstarvit Tower is a handsome and well-built tower, believed to have been built in the 15th century.

    The tower is renowned as the home of Sir John Scot, who was the author of Scot of Scotstarvit’s Staggering State of the Scots Statesmen. The tower was remodelled between 1550 and 1579.

    For access to the tower, you can pick up a key from nearby Hill of Tarvit Mansion House, owned by National Trust for Scotland. Outwith the mansion house’s opening hours, you can arrange access in advance by contacting Kellie Castle, also owned by National Trust for Scotland.

    Getting there by railway:- From Cupar take A914 for approximately 1 mile, turn off at signpost onto A916, then drive to house.  We are well signposted.

    Getting there by aeroplane:- From Edinburgh drive north over Forth Bridge and take A92 off motorway.  Follow A92  and turn off A914 onto A916.
