Riding Schools & Centres

The Scottish Equestrian Centre, Bowhouse Farm, By Kinglassie, Fife, KY5 0UN

This British Horse Society approved and Pony Club accredited equestrian centre offers lively facilities, riding experiences and lessons to all ages and levels of rider.

The Scottish Equestrian Centre is located just north of Kirkcaldy, in Fife. It boasts excellent facilities such as an indoor arena, an irrigated outdoor arena, woodland and farmland hacks and trails, and three separate light and airy stable blocks, each with its own tack room and facilities.

The riding school boasts a wide range of horses and ponies, allowing the centre to cater for every rider, regardless of size and/or needs.

Instruction can be offered in all riding disciplines, and both master classes with top eventers, and starter classes for complete novices are regularly held.  Children from seven years old and upwards are very welcome at the centre, and are well catered for by the friendly staff and large selection of steady riding school ponies. The horses and ponies vary in size from 11 hh to 17.2hh, and the centre has all the riding boots, hats and other equipment necessary to ensure you have both a safe and enjoyable time.

At the Scottish Equestrian Centre, nutrition and stable management classes are regularly run, and for the youngsters there is an established programme of Pony Camps and competitions. The centre aims to encourage children, and get them to want to learn about pony and horse care, as well as increasing their confidence.
