Nestled on Dunnet Bay, the Seadrift Centre is the perfect place to discover and learn about the local wildlife of the Highlands.
Explore and learn at the Seadrift Centre while drinking in the stunning view from Dunnet Bay. Enjoy the interactive displays and read fascinating facts about the local wildlife and scenery. Children will particularly enjoy the smaller room, full of intriguing puzzles and activities. Here you can see how you compare in size and weight with a range of wild animals, examine objects through magnifying glasses or complete two and three dimensional jigsaws. In the main area of the centre, younger visitors will also appreciate the drawers which can be opened to reveal treasures from the deep, while everyone who spots it will be fascinated by the jar containing a pair of adders.
After learning all about the fascinating fauna, relax in the tiered viewing area with a pair of binoculars and start spotting. Keep a look out for a wide range of sea birds, otters and hopefully a dolphin or whale. Finish your visit with a walk along the bay and discover the delights of Dunnet at close range.
