Seafield Golf Course

Golf Courses

Belleisle Park, Doonfoot Road, Ayr, Ayrshire, KA7 4DU

Seafield is the less famous of the two 18 hole golf courses within the magnificent grounds of the Belleisle Estate in Ayr.

A classic combination of links and parkland that, although not as long as its more illustrious companion, Belleisle Championship Course designed by James Braid, Seafield will test the skills and talents of even the most experienced golfer.

A great deal of re-styling and development of the course has taken place in recent years. When this is linked to the traditional tight and deceptively testing greens and strategically placed bunkers, accuracy is well rewarded on this course. Played alone, or in combination with its "big sister" of Belleisle, Seafield offers an attractive, and challenging game of golf in Scotland.

Nearby attractions: Golfers and non-golfers can enjoy miles of sandy beaches, interspersed with parts of rocky outcrops. With spectacular views and sunsets, the Firth of Clyde, the Isle of Arran and Ailsa Craig (a bird sanctuary) enjoy mild weather due to the West Coast Gulf Stream.

Turnberry, Burns Cottage and Tam O'Shanter Experience, Culzean Castle, Dundonald Castle, Royal Troon Golf Course, Old Prestwick Golf Course, Ayr Racecourse, Ayr Low Green, Craigie Estate and Rozelle Estate are all in close proximity.

The Carrick Hills or Galloway Forrest offers hiking or biking opportunities for outdoors experiences.

South Ayrshire Council operates this attraction, which is within a few miles of Glasgow Prestwick International Airport,
