Sentinels is an exciting public art project in the town of Alloa in Clackmannanshire.
Designed by Rob Mulholland, the three sculptures are made from marine grade polished stainless steel with a highly mirrored surface. Standing at over 2.7m high and weighting nearly a ton each, every figure has its own shape and form. With the polished mirrored profiles constantly altering in appearance as the light and weather changes throughout the day, the sculptures’ mirrored surfaces are slightly distorted creating a more interesting reflection and inviting the viewer to look into this altered image of their surroundings in a new way.
