Shotts Heritage Centre is situated within the town library and focuses on the area’s covenanting heritage and heavy industry past.
The displays in the library concentrate on the area’s strong links with the covenanters of the 17th century and on the rise and fall of the iron and coal industries in the 19th and 20th centuries. The centre is open six days a week and is closed on Sundays.
