Multi-activity Centre
Overview
Join us at SkyeActivities for boat trips including whale spotting and fishing trips, waterskiing and mountain bike hire. We also have accommodation packages including kayaking and archery for our guests at Woodbine House.
Minke whales live in these waters from June to September every year, while Basking sharks visit in August and September. Puffins are abundant from May and their numbers dwindle in August.
If fishing is your passion then you can charter the boat for a dedicated trip and our fishfinder will maximise your chance of success. If you’re staying with us then your catch can be smoked or barbequed back at our guest house for the perfect meal at the end of the day.
The sheltered waters of Uig Bay offer a great location for waterskiing - also available from our RIB.
Mountain Biking
Mountain Biking in Skye was recently cited by MBR magazine as having the best singletrack trail in Britain. The backdrop of incredible scenery makes this one of the best and most challenging places to mountain bike in Scotland. From our village you can also get the ferry to Harris for a day trip of fantastic mountain biking.
Sea kayaking
Sea Kayaking gives you the opportunity to really feel part of this wonderful environment. The protected Uig Bay provides a great location to safely paddle on our Tri Yaks. These sea kayaks can take 2 adults and a child are very stable making them suitable for beginners and all ages. Kayaking offers a relaxing way to explore and peacefully observe the wildlife.
