St Andrews Aquarium

Marine Life Centres

The Scores, St Andrews, Fife, KY16 9AS

St Andrews Aquarium is an underwater world of adventure with amphibians, fish and seals alongside reptiles, arachnids, seals, penguins, baby alligators and even meerkats!

Nestled on St Andrews' dramatic north facing cliffs, with stunning views of the famous west sands and St Andrews Bay, St Andrews Aquarium boasts one of the finest coastal locations in the historic town.

Step through the doors and be transported into an underwater world of adventure and discovery. Come face to face with some of the most beautiful, fascinating and dangerous creatures of the watery worlds. From black tip reef sharks to seahorses, lobsters to lionfish, poison dart frogs to piranhas, loveable seals...... and not to forget the fabulous meerkats, Kate and Wills.

The Aquarium welcomed new residents in 2013 when a waddle of 4 female Humboldt penguins were  transferred from the Seaview Wildlife Encounter in the Isle of Wight and are now permanent residents at the coastal attraction. They were quickly followed by the arrival of a very rare and what is Scotland’s largest, Alligator Snapping Turtle, six Southern Stingrays and three baby Bearded Dragons who hatched at the Aquarium too! Also recently arriving is two baby American Alligators - the only pair of American Alligators in Scotland and only the second pair in the UK.

Get up close and personal with daily interactive demonstrations which include seal, meerkat and penguin feeding and a rockpool ramble.
