Starfish Studio, 3 Anchor Lane, Johnshaven, Near Montrose, Aberdeenshire, DD10 0EN

Starfish Studio is a gorgeous wee shop packed with original art and beautiful crafts - ceramics, jewellery, glass, textiles, wood and more.

An Aladdin's cave of top quality, British art and craft, most of which is not readily available in high street shops.

The shop is also a working artist's studio where Kate MacKenzie sews with a variety of different textile styles and paints in acrylics using bright, vibrant colours.  Workshops are offered in various different crafts - please visit our website for more information.

The studio is situated near the harbour in the lovely old fishing village of Johnshaven which has a working harbour where you can watch crabs and lobsters being landed.

The village has a population of around 700, two pubs, a primary school and a superb, friendly village shop - Johnshaven Stores. There is a four star, community owned camping and caravanning park situated near the sea and right beside a children's play area, tennis courts, a putting green, bowling green and football pitch.

Enjoy lovely coastal walks from the harbour in both directions. Explore the rockpools and keep an eye open for seals and dolphins.
