    Get a glimpse of Orkney’s natural history and maritime past at this museum which sports a unique collection of artifacts.

    On show are artifacts salvaged from the German Fleet which was scuttled in Scapa Flow in 1919, in sight of Stromness.  The Victorian Natural History Gallery has an extensive bird collection complemented by displays of eggs, fossils, sea creatures, mammals, butterflies and moths.

    There are also children’s activities and a photographic archive. The museum is open between March and October.
