    The Chippendale International School of Furniture The school nestles at the foot of the rolling Lammermuir Hills near Haddington, with some of the finest views in Scotland. It is only 40 minutes drive from Edinburgh.


    The Chippendale International School of Furniture is the UK's leading furniture school and the only one of its kind in Scotland. Students from around the world come here to learn the art of fine furniture making, design and restoration on an intensive 9 month course from some of the UK's top experts.

    Enjoy a tour of the workshops and gallery and learn the secrets of furniture making and design. Coach parties are welcome, but please book in advance.

    The unique furniture making course includes lectures, visiting experts, learning from colleagues and field trips. It's very hands-on: students spend up to 1,400 hours doing practical benchwork on their own projects.
