The Dick Institute, located in the Ayrshire burgh of Kilmornock, features large museum displays of local and industrial history, fine art and natural sciences.
The two contemporary art galleries host a regularly changing programme of exhibitions. The main gallery sits on the ground floor is often reputed to be the finest contemporary collection in the West of Scotland. The bright modern space also plays host to talks and workshops which accompany many of the exhibitions.
The Young People's Gallery can also be found on the ground floor with a dedicated space organised by young people who are interested in the visual arts who meet regularly to discuss the gallery programme.
Discover the Natural Sciences Gallery containing an array of animals, birds, rocks and fossils. Everything on view is taken from the institutes own natural history and archaeology collections, with some objects set aside for visitors to touch and handle.
Thanks to recent refurbishments, the upper floor of the Dick is fully accessible for disabled visitors via the lift in the Young People’s Gallery or the main stairs.
