Visitors find a warm welcome at the beautiful, informal and challenging Dragon's Tooth Golf Course. The 9 hole course at Ballachulish is located on an undulating, tree-lined estate at the entrance to mighty Glencoe, just south of Fort William. Wide sweeps of grassland drop down to almost touch the loch. Panoramas from each of the challenging holes are breathtaking and the quality of the fairways matches mightier courses in Scotland.

This is also a wonderful base to enjoy other outdoor activities. From the natural hub that is The Gathering Place, you access superb cycle tracks, walks of every grade and information on a host of activities provided by local activity operators. After all, this is The Outdoor Capital of the UK!

The course boasts fantastic USGA greens, allowing all year round putting and giving firm, dry summer putting surfaces. It stands up very well to whatever the west coast climate can throw!

Golfers of all standards find delight and challenge at this new golf course (opened in 2001). The 5,038 yard course is a par 68/65 experience and arguably the best feature is it's wonderful location in the breath-taking "Glenachulish" valley.
The course is smothered in flora and founa . Mature trees of all kinds enhance the edges of the fairways, from shapely old oaks overhanging the second green and hidden yew trees that are over two hundred years old, to a well situated, ancient Monkey Puzzle tree towering over the third green. In the spring, Bluebells carpet the riverbank that runs through the heart of the course as it sweeps down into Loch Linnhe from the dramatic Glen Ahulish gorge above.

The social hub of the local area is The Gathering Place, the intimate and relaxed club house at the heart of the course. The picturesque building is nestled among trees and its inviting design with slate roof and timber cladding signals a warmth and stylish welcome inside.

The Gathering Place has a bar and lounge area, offering panoramic views across the ninth hole to the sea beyond. Whether you're staying in Fort William, driving by or playing golf, it's a stunning location to stop, relax and enjoy a good coffee whilst chatting over the day ahead. Of course there are changing facilities, showers and toilets, alongside a reception area where you will pick up essentials such as scorecards, balls and latest gossip.
