A wealth of historical treasures can be discovered at the Museum Newton Stewart, displaying exhibits such as local photography, costumes and fabrics relating to the natural and social history of Galloway. Explore the museum’s different sections, such as The Nursery, Tradesman's Tools, The Dairy, The Kitchen and The Smithy.
The museum is staffed by volunteer custodians and is open from 2pm to 5pm Monday to Saturday,end of March to end June last 2 weeks of Sept and 1st week October July, August and first 2 weeks September 10.30am - 5pm. Last entry 4.30pm. No Sunday opening.
