The North Ayrshire Heritage Centre
Museums
The North Ayrshire Heritage Centre, formerly North Ayrshire Museum, is found in Saltcoats on the south west coast of Scotland.
The museum shows the history of North Ayrshire with displays on archaeology, costume, transport and popular culture. There is a maritime history section and a reconstruction of an Ayrshire cottage interior.
The museum is free and open for everyone to visit the displays and exhibitions.
