    The Old Byre is a Heritage Centre in the beautiful Glen Bellart close to the picturesque village of Dervaig on the Isle of Mull. The Old Byre is a must for anyone who would like to absorb the history of Mull in an effortless 'armchair' manner! With two amazing videos - one describing Mull's history from when man first settled here, and the other one about Mull's abundant and varied wildlife - both on land and in the waters around Mull, you can learn so much about this beautiful island. Our Gift Shop and Tearoom are relaxing places to purchase souvenirs and crafts or enjoy some light refreshment or a delicious light lunch.

    Getting there by railway:- From Oban Station go down to the pier and catch the ferry to the Isle of Mull. At Craignure turn right on the A849 to Salen and then take the A848 to Aros Bridge, take the left fork to Dervaig and then follow the Thistle signs to the Old Byre Heritage Centre.

    Getting there by aeroplane:- From Glasgow Airport take the M8 across the Erskine Bridge then the A82 along Loch Lomondside to Crianlarich, left to Tyndrum and left on the A85 to Oban and catch the ferry to the Isle of Mull. On arrival at Craignure turn right along the A849 to Salen then the A848 to Aros Bridge and turn left down the B road to Dervaig following the signs to The Old Byre Heritage Sign, thistle signs. At the TJunction turn left on the B8073 towards Calgaryand then left down the private road.

    Getting there by ferry:- From Craignure or Fishnish turn right down the A849 to salen and then the A848 to Aros Bridge, take the left fork and travel the 10 miles to
