The Scottish Fisheries Museum is a multi award-winning national museum which tells the story of Scottish fishing from the earliest times to the present.
Situated in the heart of the Fife fishing community, the museum was first opened in 1969 but has grown in size and in the range of galleries.
The site includes buildings from the 16th century including the Abbot’s Lodging, Fisherman’s Cottage, Merchant House, Historic Boatyard, Zulu fishing boat gallery and the courtyard. You can see over 15 historic boats including the sailing flagship Reaper, and over 66,000 objects from across Scotland including paintings, costumes and photographs.
There is also a tearoom with a courtyard patio and a shop selling nautical and Scottish gifts.
