Located in beautiful rural surroundings, this superb wood turning centre offers a fine selection of hand carved and turned objects, tuition and all the raw materials needed woodturning.
Originally established in Easter Ross in 1991, the Ullapool Woodturning Centre moved to its current premises in 1994 and serves as a furniture shop, a supplies outlet and offers woodturning tuition. View an extensive range of beautiful handmade furniture and carved objects including bowls, vases, weed pots, mushrooms, candle holders and sticks and kitchen ware in the showroom where it is sometimes possible to see the woodturner at work.
The centre also offers bespoke furniture and restoration services and stocks and extensive range of hardwoods, the majority of which has been locally sourced from naturally felled trees. Exotic varieties of wood are occasionally available. A wide selection of fittings in brass, glass and ceramics alongside essential tools for wood working and DIY are also on display.
Whether you’re a complete novice to woodturning or simply want to improve you existing skill, the centre offers invaluable one to one tuition and demonstrations with owner Alec Mutch.
