    Tynecastle Stadium on the west side of the city has been home to Heart of Midlothian Football Club since 1886.

    Heart of Midlothian Football Club (or Hearts) was founded in 1874 and took its name from a Royal Mile dance hall in Edinburgh frequented by the founders. Tynecastle Stadium has an all-seated capacity of 17,420 and has four stands.

    Tynecastle also boasts a ticket office, four function suites, where match day corporate hospitality is available, and a superstore selling club merchandise.

    Tours of the stadium are also available.

    Public Transport Directions

    Getting there by railway:- If travelling from the west or north, disembark at Haymarket Station (last stop before Waverley Station) and proceed along Dalry Road and Gorgie Road.

    If travelling from the South continue your journey beyond Waverley Station through to Haymarket Station.
