Watch hand-thrown ceramics being made at this small pottery located in the village of Uig on the Isle of Skye.
Established in 1992 by Alan Freestone, Uig Pottery specialises unique yet functional ceramic pieces inspired by the natural beauty of its scenic location overlooking Uig Bay. Watch as resident artisans create distinctive stoneware by hand and visit the shop Crocks and Rocks in Portree to browse and purchase an extensive selection of pottery and jewellery. The Uig Pottery Experience, held from May to September, gives visitor the chance to try throwing and painting their own pieces to take home. A café is also open during the summer months.
