    Ullapool Museum is a local history museum in the heart of the village.

    Ullapool Museum tells the story of the people who have made this challenging environment their home, from the first settlers after the Ice Age to the present day. Housed in a recently refurbished Grade A1 listed "Telford Church", Ullapool Museum is an architectural gem which retains many of its original features. From clearances and crofting to fishing and family history - visit us to discover Lochbroom's story.

    There is a research facility for family history.

    Getting there by car - From Inverness follow roadsigns to the A9 (northward). Cross the Kessock Bridge, take the A835 from Tore roundabout to Ullapool. Total mileage 56 miles.

    The nearest airport and railway station is Inverness.

    Public transport: - From Inverness take bus 61 or 961 to Ullapool.

    Getting there by ferry: - From Ullapool ferry terminal, walk up through the Caledonian MacBrayne car park, go up the steps at the top of the car park to West Argyle Street. The museum is across the road from you.
