    Sailing Holidays in Scotland

Wilderness Scotland offers an inspiring range of both sailing holidays and also combined sailing and walking holidays that explore Scotland's rugged west coast and diverse islands.

    Sailing and Walking trips

When sailing and walking you're able to get the benefit of both worlds as you hit the waves and take as much involvement in the crewing of the yacht as you like, then enjoy the expansive coastal views from high on the nearby hills.

Sail round Skye on a full circumnavigation of the island and head ashore at some of Skye's more inaccessible points to walk wild corners of the island with your guide.

Explore Skye, Knoydart and the Small Isles on the lovingly restored 70 year old Gaff Cutter the Eda Frandsen. This is an epic trip of dolphins, sea eagles and simply stunning walking. See the video for an in depth view of this very special trip.

The Inner Hebrides are a beautiful collection of islands this sailing holiday explores including Mull, Jura and Staffa. Naturally the itinerary is a moving feast and our skipper will take you where the best weather for sailing and also mooring is.

    Scottish Sailing Holidays

St Kilda, a double UNESCO World Heritage Site, recognised for its cultural and natural significance is high on many people's list of places to visit. Wilderness Scotland offer unique hands on sailing trips to St Kilda, where you can hope to see basking sharks, minki whales and a plethora of bird life.

Another sailing holiday that takes advantage of the beautifully restored Gaff Cutter, Eda Frandsen, is the Inner Hebrides trip. You will be spoilt by some of the best sailing in Europe as you glide between stunnig islands amidst a wealth of rich and remarkable wildlife.

    Private Sailing Trips

We work in partnership with a number of yachts, each with its own unique style and character - chose from a selection including a traditional, wooden sailing boat, a steel-hulled ketch and a 67ft steel-hulled cutter.  Live life on the waves, and drop anchor at delightful stops en route to lace up your walking boots and discover all the lands have to offer.

Not only will the fresh sea and Highland air revive you, the sealife, bird life and wildlife will excite you and leave you with memories of some unforgetable, once-in-a-lifetime encounters.
