Situated on the southern slopes of the Forth Valley, with stunning views of the rolling hills that surround the Firth of Forth, Central Saddlery is ideally positioned for a quick visit, whether you are travelling North to the stunning Highlands, or South to the evocative border country.
As our name suggests we sit in the centre of the central belt of Scotland, with easy access from both the M9 and the M8 motorway systems. We sell equestrian goods, country clothing and food for horses, dogs, cats and other furry animals!
We are a family business, started in 1976 on the family farm and now with a second generation taking up the reins. Some of our quaint traditional farm buildings have been converted into a retail saddlery shop and a feedstore. Customers remark that we are like an Aladdin’s cave, with comfortable country clothing and waterproof wellies nestling beside saddles and bridles, the rich smell of leather mingling with the wood smoke from the stove. Our local customers come from most parts of Scotland, to buy their specialised equestrian equipment, but we also cater for dog walkers and all outdoor enthusiasts, who buy gloves, footwear, jackets, leisure tops and fleeces, they realise that the equestrian trade knows how to dress well in all weathers.
Our extensive delivery service of fodder and feedstuffs for pets, horses and smallholder animals, comes with the added benefit of being able to also buy a pair of boots or a hoof pick and have it delivered to your door with your feed order, by our own delivery vehicle. However if you are further afield, every day we send parcels all over Britain and further afield throughout Europe and indeed worldwide, fulfilling orders placed on our website www.centralsaddlery.co.uk . Wherever home is, it is worth a browse on our website.
Our background is firmly rooted in the countryside and we offer a leather repair service onsite, plus we are licensed and qualified to sell horse wormers and companion animal wormers too. Our staff members have experience in a wide range of equestrian and country pursuits and are happy to take time to help with your shopping experience.
Nearby there are some great places to visit with the Falkirk Wheel situated just 10minutes to the west, whilst the Kelpies, those amazing huge horse’s head sculptures that are part of the Falkirk Helix project, rise into view as you approach the area from Stirling and Glasgow.
Close by too are historic monuments such as Cairnpapple, a Neolithic ceremonial site with panoramic views and the beautiful town of Linlithgow with it’s iconic Lochside palace and quaint High Street with bars and restaurants galore. Other attractions abound close by with Wallace’s monument in Stirling and our capital city Edinburgh easily accessible, to name but a few.
Central Scotland has so much to offer and so much to see, with room to enjoy the rural retail experience at a gentle pace. So why not drop in when you are in the area? You’ll always find a warm Scottish welcome at Central Saddlery.
