Thistle 'B' Scrumptious

Thistle 'B' Scrumptious is Castle Douglas's first one stop shop offering a wide range of outstanding local and Scottish produce and scrumptious takeaway options.

We work very closely with as many Scottish producers as possible and are proud to offer an extensive selection of locally sourced produce. Our aim is not only to provide a wide example of what food the region has to offer for all seasons, but also to be a platform to promote local producers to our customers.

We also invite producers into the shop during the year to come and talk to customers about their produce. And in addition to food and drink, we stock a small range of locally produced gifts and crafts.

On top of all of this, we provide tasty take away lunches using local produce in our baguettes. There is also homemade soup and tasty traybakes, as well as home baking. Additionally, we provide coffee made with freshly ground coffee beans, highland blend tea and our speciality hot chocolate made using real chocolate drops, all from the Edinburgh Tea and Coffee Company.

Our bespoke hamper service allows the customer to select what Local and Scottish produce they desire and we will then produce a beautiful hamper, complete with tartan ribbon and a gift tag. It really is the ideal treat to take back home or to give as a gift.
