Charter Hotel Boat Willow

Boat Tour

Berth 10, Falkirk Wheel Basin, Lime Road , Tamfourhill, Falkirk, Stirlingshire, FK1 4RS

Skippered Full Day Cruises from the Falkirk Wheel for small parties of just one or two couples (max 7 adults) on 65ft Charter Hotel Boat Willow. Centrally Heated all weather bow observation cabin. Tariff includes Lunch and Refreshments.

Join us on one of our Skippered Day Cruises, catering especially for small parties.  Take in some of the best bits of the Scottish Lowland canals - Falkirk Wheel - Avon Aqueduct - Rock Hewn Falkirk Tunnel - all in just one day.

Leave from our Falkirk Wheel moorings and ascend the 'Wheel', before taking the Roughcastle Tunnel (through the Antonine Wall) and climbing the staircase locks onto the Union canal. Then we follow the contour line of the mainly rural Union canal to the outskirts of Linlithgow. On the way back we will stop for lunch on the magnificent Avon Aqueduct (guests often choose to take the stepped path down to the river below - but remember its the second highest aqueduct in the UK, and what goes down has to come back up).

We do try to time things to your preferences, and there will be time to stop along the way. Leaving our Falkirk Wheel moorings at about 9.30am, we aim to be back at our moorings by 5.30pm, but our finish timings are not too critical unless you specify otherwise.

You don't need to pack a picnic, as morning/afternoon refreshments and lunch are included in the price. If it does rain on the day we have an all weather, centrally heated, bow observation cabin to keep the weather at bay.

Or perhaps, as an alternative, a Forth & Clyde cruise - Falkirk Wheel to Auchinstarry & Twechar and return, taking in the Castlecary Locks and some of the prettiest 'river like' sections of the Forth & Clyde.

Whichever cruise you choose, the all inclusive tariff for one couple is just £60 per person, and £40 per person for two or more couples!
