Barton House, 21 North End, Wirksworth, Derbyshire, DE4 4FG

Self-guided walking holidays and short breaks throughout Scotland.

A Contours Walking Holiday is a wonderful way to explore the countryside – walking from one place to another, stopping somewhere different each night with the freedom to walk at your own pace, stop for breaks when you want and spend as long as you want exploring the villages, towns or sites of historical interest along the trail.

With an unrivalled range of self-guided walking holidays and short breaks throughout Scotland and the rest of the UK, there is a walk that will appeal to all interests.

In and around the attractive Scottish Borders, Contours Walking Holidays offer the St Cuthbert’s Way and the Borders Abbeys Way walks. The fascinating towns and villages associated with St Cuthbert on the gentle, yet breath taking St Cuthbert’s Way will leave you astounded before you cross the border to England and visit the tranquil Holy Island, with its 16th century Lindisfarne Castle and Priory. Meanwhile, the Borders Abbeys Way links four great ruined abbeys in the region of Kelso, Jedburgh, Melrose and Dryburgh, with rolling farmland and views of the Cuillins Hills.

Further afield, the magnificent mountains, heather-clad hills, remote glens and sparkling lochs can be explored on the West Highland Way, Great Glen Way, East Highland Way, Kintyre Way, Arran Coastal Way and the Speyside Way, while the Rob Roy Way, Cateran Trail, Fife Coastal Path and Ayrshire Coastal Path also have rich wildlife, turbulent history and superb scenery to attract the walker.

Contours Walking Holidays take care of every little detail to ensure that you have a relaxing, worry-free walking holiday - welcoming accommodation; door-to-door luggage transfer; comprehensive tour dossier; maps; guidebook and emergency support. Contours also offers walks further afield including the West Highland Way, Great Glen Way, and the Arran Coastal Way.

Contours Walking Holidays arrange your accommodation, provide maps and a guidebook describing the route, transport your luggage between overnight stops, provide a comprehensive information pack, maps, a guidebook and emergency support, leaving you free to have a relaxing, worry-free walking holiday.
