Overview
The Dumfries Ghost Walk is a must-do for anyone with an interest in curious characters, harrowing history and spine-tingling ghost lore. Dumfries has a turbulent past that has seen its fair share of grim and gruesome acts and the tour masterfully weaves tales of the town's blackest days with stories of spectral women, headless horsemen and tragic spirits who have loved and lost.The walk starts from the iconic Midsteeple in the High Street before meandering for up to 90 minutes in and out of familiar streets and hidden closes under the expert guidance of Mostly Ghostly Investigations. Using their expertise as paranormal investigators, they provide a unique viewpoint on ghost-related matters and in some cases, share personal experiences from the annals of their own investigations.
Tours operate throughout the year and start from the Midsteeple Plainstanes. Start times vary according to the season - please check when booking. Families are very welcome to join the tour although due to the subject matter; attendance of children over 5 is at the parent's or carer's discretion. All children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
