Lamont tour, picked up and taken to Dunoon Museum for 30 to 45 mins (£2.0 each), then to the ruin of Toward Castle for a guided tour returning to the Lamont memorial on Thom-a-Mhoid road and back to your pick up point. Total time taken approx. 2 hours. £40.00 for up to 7 passengers.



Welcome to my guided tours pages. My name is George and I live in Dunoon. I have family roots to the Cowal area that I have, so far, traced back to the late 1700's. There is a huge amount of very interesting History in and around Dunoon both very ancient and modern which I am very glad to be able to share with you on one of my tours.

Standard LOCAL tours suggested for up to 7 passengers are:-

Tour 1.
Dunoon/Sandbank/Kilmunchurch/Blairmorepier/Ardentinny/Whistlefield and return. Approx 1.5 hrs £40.00

Tour 2.
Dunoon/Innellan/Toward light house/Toward Castle/Loch Striven/Inverchaolain/Clan Lamont house/ Road end and return.
Approx 2hrs min£50.00 (or £7 each for 7)

Tour 3.
Dunoon/Glenlean/Loch Tarsan/Kilmodan church/Glendaruel/ Tighnabruich/Kames/Kilfinnan/Otter Ferry/Castle Lachlan/Strachur and return. Approx 4 hours min £100 (or £16.5 each for 6)

Time taken approximately 6 hours including time for visits, pictures and tours. Cost is £21.00 per person for 7 pasengers.

These are examples of tours that will allow you to see local beauty and history without breaking the bank. The above times include stops (where permissable) for sight seeing/pictures/Lunch and a little shopping.
