Welcome to Go Forth Tours. We take a very comfortable vehicle and chauffeur you around the secrets all around North Berwick, jewel of Edinburgh's Golf Coast in Scotland.

Nobody knows their home turf like a local. And nobody knows the North Berwick area better than GoForth. The “North Neuk”s twenty miles of rocky coves and hidden beaches has everything--towering castles and elegant estates, birdsong peace and teeming wildlife, supersonic airliners and vintage cars.

Be prepared for something different. In spacious luxury with only six guests, you will be chauffeured by a very knowledgeable local, who will share insider stories, hidden corners, and take time to stop and let you explore them for yourself.

We offer four types of tours:

    1) Two-Hour 'introductory' tour that focusses on one of Castles, Wildlife, Mansions, History or Art; includes one guided visit

    2) Four-houry 'In-Depth' tour as above but at a more leisurely pace and includes two guided visits

    3) 'Custom' tour of half or full day that may include any combination of the above but must be arranged 72 hours in advance.

    4) Walking tours, currently offering 2-hr Walk the Toun to get to know North Berwick or 4-hr Beachcomber to get to know the foreshore

    Road Directions

North Berwick lies just a few miles off the main A1 road connecting Edinburgh with London. From England and the South, exit at Dunbar and follow the A198 for ten miles. From Edinburgh and the North, the City Bypass intersects the A1 leaving Edinburgh at the border with East Lothian. After five miles, follow the signs for the Scottish Seabird Centre, exiting on the A198 and following it for 13 miles.

Be sure to leave time to appreciate the many panoramas, picturesque villages and glimpses over the sea all the way to Fife you will encounter.

Although we operate from convenient pick-up points within the town of North Berwick, we are happy to pick up customers staying anywhere in the general North Berwick area from a location convenient to them.

    Public Transport Directions

North Berwick is served by an excellent fast electric train service from Waverley station in the heart of Scotland's capital, Edinburgh. Lasting 35 minutes, it is a glorious introduction to the rolling local countryside. There is no danger of missing your stop as North Berwick is the terminus of the line and the ScotRail station is one of our regular pick-up points.
